of sweet definitions
and poetic breath
i laugh nervously
as your voice swirled in the air
gusting soft currents
around my face
and stringing together words
that i only half remember
as i sat soaking up the bliss
that radiated from your amber eyes
that were tinted with the simple knowing
that life was,
indeed beautiful.

and you smiled,
pure optimism.
